EpiC-B 2013 is a business plan competition which highlights “Creative industry” as the theme. The entire of competitions are delivered in English and for the presentation on preliminary and final round will be delivered in Elevator Pitch. Elevator Pitch is a method to deliver a presentation to make the listener get attracted in a very short time. The business plan to be competed must include 9 bulding blocks which is one of the tools for making a business model. This competition is opened for all university students in Indonesia.

Competition Round

A.Proposal Selection

  1. Send Business Plan Proposal with Creative Industry as the theme.
  2. The proposal is an original business plan which has never been participated in the other business plan competition.
  3. Include 9 building blocks in business model with the book reference : “Business Model Generation” – Alexander Osterwalder
  4. The result of proposal selection will be announced at the webside and sent to participant’s email.
  5. 10 best teams will continue to pre-eliminary round.

 

B.Pre-eliminary round

  1. 10 teams that continue to the pre-eliminary round must prepare a commercial video (product advertisement) max. 5 minutes which will be played before presentation of the proposal.
  2. 10 teams that continue to the pre-eliminary round must prepare a presentation (dummy or other visual aid is allowed) about the proposal that have been sent before.
  3. The presenter is choosen by the team
  4. Proposal presentation has to be presented within 3 minutes and delivered in Elevator Pitch with particular building blocks that will be informed before, when 10 best teams have been announced.
  5. There will be question and answer session between judges and the participant in the next 15 minutes.
  6. 5 teams with the highest score that pass this round will continue to the final round.

 

C.Final round

  1. 5 best teams will return to present their business plan proposal in Elevator Pitch in 3 minutes with particular building blocks that will be announced by the judges on Final Round.
  2. The presenter is choosen by the team.
  3. There will be question and answer session between judges and the participant in the next 15 minutes.
  4. 3 best teams will be chosen as the winners of EpiC-B 2013.

The Timeline of Competition (Weekly)

  1. Registration : February 1st – March 16th, 2013
  2. Proposal submission : Februari 1st – March 29 th, 2013
  3. Proposal selection : April 1st -19 th, 2013
  4. Announcement of 10 best teams :  April 22nd, 2013
  5. Preliminary round : May 11th, 2013
  6. Final round : May 12th, 2013

 

Steps of Registration

  1. Fill the registration form which can be downloaded in here
  2. Pay IDR 200.000,00 as the registration fee to :

  3. Send the softcopy of registration form and scan the proof of payment before March 16, 2013 at 23.59 WIB to email : epicb2013@gmail.com

* The committee will send the confirmation after accept the email within 2×24 hours to the leader of the team. The team who has not accepted confirmation within that time can contact Refnita (087838596171).

 

Regulation

  1. Participant of EPiC-B 2013 have to meet all the requirements of registration those are stated in this website
  2. The participants of EPiC-B 2013 are a team contain of 3 people from the same University and registered officially on Undergraduate Program (S1) or Diploma Program.
  3. The team member from different faculty or different major in the same University is allowed.
  4. The team which is not meet requirements will be disqualified
  5. Substitutions of member is not allowed. If one of the member of the team is not able to attend on the pre-eliminary round, the team is still allowed to join the competition without member’s substitution.
  6. The proposal’s requirements can be downloaded here
  7. Must send all the requirements contain of :
  • The registration form
  • 3 (three) hardcopy of business plan proposal (for the judgement)
  • Softcopy of business plan proposal which is burnt in CD, the format is in PDF and titled TEAM NAME_THE TITLE OF PROPOSAL_UNIVERSITY (example : The Winner_Multifunction of Wood Skin_UGM)
  • The proof of payment. A copy of Student ID Card (KTM) and an ID Card (KTP/SIM/Paspor) for each member
  • 2 (two) recent photographs (3×4) for each member
